The Jordan Project is a community initiative dedicated to reaching out to the homeless. We focus on providing transformative support services for individuals struggling with substance abuse, addiction, emotional trauma, economic hardship, and mental health challenges. Our mission is to offer hope, spiritual support and healing to those in need.
We are driven by a deep passion to restore lives and bring hope to our community through large-scale outreach events. Our mission includes sharing faith with those in need, providing essential resources such as food, shelter, and housing, and fostering unity by collaborating with others to love our neighbors as ourselves. Together, we strive to uplift and support the hurting individuals in our cities and around the world
Our next event will be in February, date to be announced
Join us for our upcoming Feeding the Homeless event, where we come together as a community to provide nourishing meals and warm smiles to those in need. This is an opportunity to show compassion and solidarity, serving not just food but also hope and connection. Whether you’d like to volunteer, donate, or simply spread the word, your support makes a difference. Together, let’s make a positive impact and ensure no one goes hungry in our community. We look forward to seeing you there!
Hi, I’m Joshua, founder of The Jordan Project. Thank you for considering partnering with us in our mission to transform lives within homeless communities. My inspiration comes from a deeply personal place: my brother Jordan, who tragically lost his life due to the harsh realities of homelessness, compounded by mental illness and addiction.
I once faced similar struggles, feeling lost and alone until I was rescued by the love of Jesus Christ and the support of my local church, which provided a men’s home for individuals like my brother and me. At that time, I was desperate to reconnect with my children while battling severe depression, anxiety, and paranoia. The lifestyle of homelessness and addiction had taken a toll on my mind, leading to multiple suicide attempts and leaving my family uncertain about my recovery.
Through the power of prayer, the guidance of scripture, and the grace of Jesus Christ, I found hope and healing. Today, I am happily remarried and blessed with a beautiful blended family of five children. God’s goodness has transformed my life, and I am passionate about sharing that hope with others. In honor of my brother’s memory, I am committed to making a difference and helping those who are still in the darkness. Thank you for joining us on this journey!
Jordan's life didn’t have the happy ending we had hoped for, and his loss deeply affected our family. It was a turning point for me—I knew I had to take action against the epidemic of homelessness, addiction, trauma, and mental illness. Jordan’s story didn’t have to end in tragedy. If he had received just a simple act of kindness, like a cold cup of water, he might still be with us today.
As Jesus said, "Whatever you do for the least of these, you do for Me" (Matthew 10:42, 25:40; Mark 9:41). This truth has become our family’s mission: to love those in need and offer our best to the most vulnerable through acts of kindness, service, and compassion. We refuse to let another life be lost to the harsh realities that took Jordan from us.
We want the community to see the homeless as valued members of society, individuals with stories and families just like Jordan’s. We believe that no one is a throwaway; everyone is seen, loved, and cared for. Our goal is to provide opportunities for fresh starts and new beginnings, offering hope through the salvation of Jesus Christ. Together, we can help others reclaim their lives and pursue wellness.
AND WE CAN HELP!!! Our vision is clear: to give a voice to the voiceless, hope to the hopeless, and a home to the homeless. You never know the impact you can make until you take that first step. I am living proof of the transformation that can occur through these efforts, and I know change is possible.
We invite you to support us through a one-time donation or a monthly subscription to our nonprofit organization. Together, we can take a stand and create meaningful change in the lives of those around us. Thank you for your generosity, and may God bless you richly today and always!
With Deepest Gratitude,
Joshua Domingos - Founder
